Bannister Downs FarmThis simple, yet highly effective website combines elements from Bannister Downs Farm's vintage cheddar labels, advertisements plus stationery & brochures that I created for Sue and Mat. With it's strong sharp black layout, sepia toned photographs and script fonts, the site has a warm, charismatic, country feel. The 4 background colours used used throughout the site were taken from the coloured rims of the cheese labels. Sue took the majority of the photos with her digital camera after direction from myself as to what shots I required.When combined with the sepia and colour photos of the family, farm and dairy with their black rough edges, the inviting copy adds to the rustic, friendly feel. Due to the distance between us, Sue and I worked on the copy over the phone and via the internet. Visitors are able leave their comments in the Guestbook, fill in an online form to buy the cheeses direct from the Farm, as well as having access to a list of Perth and South-West based suppliers.
