Bannister Downs Farm
Once the concept for the cheese labels was decided upon, I gave BDF a number of logo options, finally deciding on the oval logo which featured the tall trees that the Northcliffe/Pemberton region is so well known for. The trees were a scanned in charcoal sketch I created that gave a romantic, soft feel to the tree without showing too much detail. I then dropped in the name and establishment date of the farm which instantly gave BDF it's historic feel.
From there I designed their double sided business card and the DL brochure. Many of the printed items have the logo as a rich creamy gold foil which helps the logo to stand out and gives a feeling of prestige. All of the printed material, with the exception of the letterhead and with compliment slip, use a matt laminate, making the texture of the cards, brochures etc smooth and silky to the touch. The letterhead and with compliments slip are printed on a smooth creamy stock which compliments the sepia tones of the photographs beautifully.
