Bannister Downs FarmA number of advertisements were required to promote new cheeses and company, the first being black & white for a specially printed pamphlet, and the remainder being full colour for newspapers. As heavy black sections in newspapers tend to bleed and distort text, I inverted the design and went with the cream background so that black and chocolate brown text was easily readable and complimented the other darker professionally printed items.A 2m high material banner also needed designing. As the BDF aprons were designed on chocolate brown cotton, and the booths and display areas were clothed in a brown cotton material to help them to stand out from the other presenters, I felt that a black background on the banner would blend in too much. We decided on the cream instead with the cut cheese faded out into the background.
