Taylor James
Taylor James's main problem in the past had been combining together all their printed documents and fliers so that they linked together graphically, so I began by creating a basic look with the white background for the documents with graphical elements kept to a minimum so that they could be printed off on any printer without chopping off the edges or using too much ink. The idea behind this being that any professionally printed jobs such as their business card and website could be inverted to use a black background, yet still keep the same look and feel.
As Taylor James is a headhunting company, the background graphic became a modified bar code which is uneven across the top for the white documents, but cropped straight on the black print jobs. The grey blocks of colour were used in both colour schemes so that the coloured elements stood out.
The Spacial Interaction document uses colour coded boxes to grade prospective employees so the line of boxes became a secondary graphical element with all main graphics appearing in square boxes. Clients are finding the documents easy to relate to with the colour coding system whereby red is bad and green is good, as well as being able to read the philosophy behind the results.
